Mother’s Day is coming up, and the Woodlands is the perfect place to take a family trip and show your wife, mother or grandmother your appreciation for her! Whether she has young children or has just become a grandmother, there are plenty of ways for moms to have fun and relax at Rayford Crossing and in the nearby area.

This brunch will have an omelette station, crepes, shrimp, biscuits and gravy, pork tenderloin and many more options.

Free events at Waterway Square

Movie Nights are back at Waterway Square in The Woodlands, showing a family friendly movie every Saturday night through May 12. This free series allows families to bring lawn chairs, blankets and movie snacks on the lawn to watch movies on a large projector.

This weekend Dolphin Tale will be playing, followed by Happy Feet 2 and Monsters & Aliens to end the series. Movies start at 8 p.m. and parking is available in surrounding garages and surface lots for varied prices.

This is just the beginning of many fun family events in Waterway Square. There will be a Memorial Day Event with fireworks, live entertainment, face painting and balloon animals May 26 and 27 from 6 to 9 p.m.

SplashTown opens soon

We had great weather and plenty of guests for our Easter weekend events at Rayford Crossing RV Resort. Everyone had a great time playing games, making crafts, dying Easter Eggs and finding eggs with candy and money in them!

And of course we had a ton of great food, including our ham dinner and a lot of delicious food guests brought to share. We took many pictures as always and uploaded them to the Rayford Crossing Flickr account.

Spring Concert Series Kicking Off

The 2012 Market Street Spring Concert Series kicks off soon, bringing live and local bands to The Woodlands. Every Thursday from May 3 to June 7, a different band will play at 6 p.m. From jazz to zydeco to a Beatles covers, there will be something for everyone!

Concerts will take place across from the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, only a few minutes drive from Rayford Crossing RV Resort. There is plenty of parking nearby, as well as shops, bars and restaurants to visit before and after concerts.

Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, or you can enjoy the music from patios of nearby restaurants such as Jaspers, Tommy Bahama Tropical Cafe or 1252 Tapas Bar.
