Easter at Rayford Crossing

Reserve your RV site or cottage at Rayford Crossing before space fills up for Easter weekend! We have a ton of fun events planned for the whole family and it’s sure to be a blast.

On Friday April 6, we’ll start off with our popular BINGO night, only $5 for 5 games. Saturday morning the festivities start at 9 a.m. with ladies’ and kids’ crafts. Saturday will be filled with games, races, potluck, Easter egg dying, an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter bunny.

For adults only, our Easter Egg Scramble will start at 4:30 p.m. Entry fee is $5 and all the money will be split up into different denominations and placed in eggs. Only 1 egg contains the big Jackpot and only 1 lucky winner will find it!

St. Patty’s in the Woodlands

You won’t run out of ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while you stay with us at Rayford Crossing RV Resort! Here are a few festive events happening nearby the resort this Saturday, March 17.

Spend your afternoon at Hubbell & Hudson Market in The Woodlands to sample cheese with Irish food and beer from noon to 4 p.m. Or head to the Baker Street Pub & Grill, located nearby Hubbell & Hudson on Waterway Street. Live music starts at 4 p.m. and there will be plenty of green beer to go around.

The 1252 Tapas Bar will host a St. Patrick’s Day Extravaganza from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. They will have plenty of drink specials and unique concoctions, including $3 green Sangria and Guiness, $4 Irish Car Bombs and $7 green martinis, as well as green gummy bear shots.

2nd Annual Ironman Texas

Ironman Texas is coming up, and this is the second time this race has been hosted right in our backyard in The Woodlands. We had many athletes stay at Rayford Crossing RV Resort last year, and we invite any competitors or spectators to book their RV site or cottage now!

Space will be very limited in area hotels, and you can feel right at home when you stay at our new park, filled with amenities and friendly people.

The Ironman Texas event takes place May 19, starting with a 2.4 mile in Lake Woodlands. Athletes will then bike through scenic farmland, heading out to Sam Houston National Forest and back to The Woodlands. Then they’ll end with a marathon, looping three times around The Woodlands for their big finish on Market Street.

Texas Crawfish & Music Festival

Last week we mentioned the Woodlands CrawPHish festival coming up March 24. There will be another great crawfish festival in Old Town Spring.  The 26th Annual Texas Crawfish & Music Festival takes place on two weekends, April 20-22 and 27-29.

This festival will have over 25 tons of crawfish for everyone to enjoy, along with Cajun cuisine, live music, carnival rides, midway games, shopping and more.

Listen to country, rock and zydeco from local bands and benefit a good cause too. The festival benefits the Spring Preservation League, a non-profit organization dedicated to beautification of Old Town Spring.

The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival

Save the date for the Woodlands CrawPHish festival on March 24. This is not just a fun family event and proceeds benefit the Cure PH Organization. Cure PH works to research and cure Pulmonary Hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs that can lead to heart failure.

Come out and support a good cause while you’re having fun and plenty of crawfish. The festival takes place at Town Green Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy jambalaya, desserts, live music and kids activities in addition to crawfish.
